Lip sync is the centre of any storytelling media because it is one of the things people pick up on the most. People see screens, and if the mouths do not sync with the spoken word, it takes us out of a film instinctively, as if we are observing something non sentient move about as if it was living. It is a human response to feel fear towards this kind of fault, thus it is necessary to understand this process from the inside out.
I have made two different animations for this purpose, one in Maya and the other in Adobe Animate. This was in order to completely understand this mechanic in both mediums, they have different needs, so they require alternate approaches.
