During this project, script to screen, I was tasked to manage a multitude of roles over a seven week period for the purpose of building up to a final product in the form of an animatic, a preconcieved visualisation of a fully realised animation. In the process of doing so I have learnt more about the importance of these processes to build a simple plot and characters within two minutes. Creating this statement is the final thing I need to do in order to create a memoir of this projects, what went well and what else didn't do so good.
The most major thing I've realised upon the date of my deadline was my screenplay and the importance it had on the rest of of my submission. It was biggest thing that needed doing in this project, however I took it too lightly and ended up changing my story multiple times out of line with what my script said because I wasn't happy with the content of it. This happened the most when I was creating my storyboards and I felt as if I knew a better way of telling my story, probably because I was happier drawing out events rather than writing them down in a paragraph.
In theory I will probably benefit from a short period starting small, then working up to drawing a comic, and then basing the script off that, rather than the other way around.
Most importantly of these thoughts, I realised this key flaw in my working after reading it off this blog ---> https://yourscreenplaysucks.wordpress.com/2016/07/14/do-the-big-stuff-first-fix-the-pages-before-the-phrases/#comments

Management of this project was another really big task for me, since I do things when I feel happy to do them it impaired my ability to be efficient. Nearer the start of the project I told myself that I would work on the separate concepts of environment, prop and characters on a weekly basis so that they all had an equal amount of attention put to them. After that I could cherrypick designs for use and create more as I desired for the completion of the story. This turned out the worst since I didn't really follow through with it, due to me not feeling the inspiration until I really actually needed it.
Recognising the benefit of any work, and I mean that, towards a project is a big thing I can take from this experience. Even if its no use at all, designs can sill be saved for later use, perhaps in different projects.
Finally, after all this, I can feel confident in future projects because I understand these processes on another level now. What I really need to work on is my overall management of said processes to make the most of their applications. That way I may work on more important things like finishing touches and optimization for the screen.
