Character Design Workshop || Environment

This week in the character design workshop we were tasked with creating an environment based on two words picked at random. My words were 'mysterious' and 'garden'. I was thinking of creating some mystical place like a sort of garden of Eden initially, but then Justin had a good idea involving aliens that I happily went along with. 

Eventually it ended up as a sort of garden with a massive tree that drew nutrients from several hidden labs underneath the garden. I created a comic to expand on this idea, although not all the content made it through from the first ideas, I think this was a successful kind of thing. It would be interesting to continue the comic at some point as well.
