Today I learned that this medium works better when I resist the urge to blend colours, especially in the short poses, as it lends itself to workflow. Artistic License is also important to 'fix' reference when the pose wouldn't make sense without an imaginary prop added, or if it looks strange to draw, limbs can be manipulated to help it look better.
